“Theatres Pune” is
group of young theatre enthusiasts, actively involved
in their endeavor to promote
and nurture the passion of theatre. Theatres Pune came
to existence on the 14th of June 1999. It started off
with an objective of bringing together youngsters interested
in theatre and creating a platform to enable them to
express their creative and artistic temperaments. Further
it was also an attempt to rope in newer talent and
present them before an audience.
We have among ourselves
upcoming
actors, directors and writers. We also encourage backstage
activities such as music composition and lights. Interestingly,
though the contention was strongly theatre related,
an acute need to understand all other related arts
was also
strong on our agenda. Is it not true that theatre is
not an isolated activity but a wide canvas incorporating
so many aspects of the arts! Staying true to this,
we have been chalking a path for ourselves and carved
a
niche for ourselves in the theatric world. |
