This was my first time to watch मैतर. The idea behind मैतर is unique and interesting. I haven not seen such kind of programs in the past. The program had a perfect blend of different form of arts.
The performances of Subodh Bhave, Rahul Deshpande, Swanand Kirkire, were impressive.

Me n my mom watched the recent show of MAITAR at Dinanath ,parle..It was a lovely experience.3 taas chalalela show khup rangala..kuthehi hatacha rakhun thevala nahi..Abhijit che SAAWARE... ajun kaanat rengalat ahe..thanks to him so we came know abt this mesmorizing composition. Shaunak was too good.tyachya sangitabaddal opinion dyaychi mazi patrata nahi pan his presence of mind and, his sense of humour was just great..Subodh che nivedan thode eksuri watale.thoda liveliness hava.sandip cha Ayushyawar....mi anekada pahila ahe.Tyat to jevadha khulato titka yaat open zala nahi.May be dance ani classical singing kadun kavita thodya overpower hotat..The main thing i appreciate is the chemistry between you..even the audience can feel it.. Programme was informal, very good and worth watching.I like performance of all 8 participants. Kunache kavatuk karu??? all were very gud. Subodhche Swagatand nivedan, Sharvari cha dance, Sandeep chya Kavita, Shounak, Salil and Bela che gane, Swanand chi kavita n Abhijeet che desinger kudate n gane all were gud.

I experienced the thrill and magic of maitar @ thane on 26-May-09. It is really a splendid show.
I was amused by the sense of humour of Shaunak, whom I had framed as a serious personality till last night. He made us giggle, smile, laugh... hats off to him and Salil..!!
Every performance was beautiful, and I should really congratulate Subodh for this concept..!!
Hoping to see all the living legends @ Thane once again!!

I have seen all your programmes except the last one in India. Todays programme at Thane is by far the best and evolved over a period of Time. The new addition of performers has got spice and variety to your show. It is suggested that you continue to rotate your performers to avoid montonous and avoid being repeatative thus ensuring freshness represented by various young talented artist in your show.

"मैतर" ह्या कार्यक्रमाबद्दल जेव्हा मेल आली ना..... तेव्हाच सगळे जण फार उत्सुक होते आणि आनंदात सुद्धा. एकतर ह्या कार्यक्रमात सगळी आपापल्या क्षेत्रातली दिग्गज मंडळी होती आणि दुसरं म्हणजे कुवेतला असूनही इतका चांगला कार्यक्रम बघायला मिळणार होता. त्यामुळे १६ मे कधी उजाडते असं झालं होतं. पण १३ मे च्या संध्याकाळी ती वाईट बातमी कानावर पडली आणि सगळ्यात पहिले मनात हाच विचार आला की आता १६ तारखेच्या कार्यक्रमाचं काय होणार....!
पण आपल्या कार्यकारी समितीने जीवाचं रान करुन हा कार्यक्रम घडवून आणला त्याबद्दल त्यांचं कौतुक करायलाच हवं. १६ मे च्या सविस्तर कार्यक्रमात थोडा बदल करुन शनिवारी १७ मे ला सकाळी बारा वाजता हा कार्यक्रम संपन्न झाला. भारतीय दूतावासातले श्री.भाटिया..... ज्यांच्या सहकार्याने हा कार्यक्रम होऊ शकला त्यांचे जितके आभार मानावे तितके थोडेच आहेत. एकतर इतक्या दिग्गज मंडळींच्या एकत्र तारखा मिळणं खूप कठीण होतं. त्यात सगळं ठरल्यानंतर हा कार्यक्रम जर रद्द झाला असता तर सगळ्यांच्याच उत्साहावर पाणी फिरलं असतं. पण सगळं व्यवस्थित जुळून आलं आणि "मैतर" सारख्या जबरदस्त कार्यक्रमाचा आस्वाद आम्हा रसिकांना घेता आला.
कार्यक्रम थोडा उशीरा सुरु झाला तरी कार्यक्रम सुरु झाल्यावर मात्र त्या उशीराची कोणाला काहीच जाणीव झाली नाही इतकं ह्या कलाकारांनी सगळ्यांना खिळवून ठेवलं. सुरवातीला कुवेतच्या राजाला दोन मिनिटांचं मौन पाळून श्रद्धांजली देण्यात आली. सगळ्या कलाकारांचा अध्यक्ष श्री.सुनील विपट ह्यांच्या हस्ते सत्कार आणि महाराष्ट्र मंडळाच्या स्मरणिकेचं प्रकाशन होऊन कार्यक्रम सुरु झाला.
भारतीय दूतावासाचे श्री. भाटिया काही अपरिहार्य कारणामुळे कार्यक्रम सुरु झाल्यावर पोहोचले. पण ते आल्यानंतर कार्यक्रम मधे थांबवून समितीने त्यांचे मनापासून आभार मानले.
सुबोध भावेंनी एकेक करत त्यांच्या सगळ्या मैतरांची ओळख करुन दिली. प्रत्येक जण आपापल्या क्षेत्रातला दादा. संदीप खरे आणि सलिल कुळकर्णी ही जोडगळी, शौनक अभिषेकी सारखं शास्त्रीय संगीतातलं व्यक्तिमत्व, बेला शेंडे सारखी गुणी गायिका आणि शर्वरी जमेनिस सारखी नृत्यांगना.... सगळेच अतिशय उच्च. आपापली ओळख करतानाच त्यांनी त्यांची कलाकारी दाखवली. आणि मग ह्या सहा मैतरांची मैफ़ल रंगतच गेली. शौनक, संदीप आणि सलिल ह्यांच्या हजरजवाबी विनोदांनी तर अजूनच खुमारी चढली कार्यक्रमाला.
सुबोध भावेंचा अभिनय बघून तर अंगावर काटाच आला....अक्षरश: खिळवून ठेवलं त्यांनी सगळ्यांना. संदीपच्या कविता आणि वाचन......तर अगदी लाजवाब. त्यांचे शब्दोच्चार, त्यातले पॉझेस..... यामुळे अधिकच उठाव आला. शौनक अभिषेकींच्या आवाजाची जादू काही वेगळीच होती. बेला शेंडेनी तर आपल्या स्वरमोहिनीने सगळ्यांना अगदी धुंद करुन टाकलं. शर्वरीने आपल्या पदन्यासाने आणि भावमुद्रांनी अगदी आपलसं केलं. सलिल ने इंग्लिशमधे गायलेलं गाणं जबरदस्त दाद घेऊन गेलं.
मध्यांतरात खाणं आटोपून सगळे पुन्हा आपापल्या जागी स्थानापन्न झालेत. ह्या भागात ह्या कलाकारांनी एक वेगळाच रंग भरला. ज्या क्षेत्रात ते परिचित नाहीत त्या क्षेत्रात पण त्यांनी अतिशय धाडसानं पाऊल टाकून दाखवलं. संदीप खरे आणि बेला शेंडे ने सादर केलेला प्रवेश, शौनक अभिषेकी आणि सुबोध भावेंनं केलेला प्रवेश, शर्वरी जमेनिस आणि सुबोध नं सादर केलेलं दमदार द्वंद्वगीत...... एकदम झकास !!! साडेतीन तासांचा हा कार्यक्रम कधी संपला कळलंच नाही. नेहेमीपेक्षा एका अतिशय नाविन्यपूर्ण कार्यक्रमाचा आस्वाद मिळाल्यामुळे सगळे जण अगदी तृप्त झाले.
महाराष्ट्र मंडळाच्या समितीनं अतिशय धावपळ करुन हा कार्यक्रम यशस्वी केला त्याबद्दल त्यांचे खूप खूप आभार !
ही सगळी कलाकार मंडळी समितीच्या आदरातिथ्याने अतिशय भारावून गेली होती. कारण मी जेव्हा बेला शेंडेंना जाताना विचारलं की कसं वाटलं आमचं कुवेत....आवडलं की नाही..... तर त्यांचं उत्तर होतं "कुवेत मधली माणसं जास्त आवडलीत" ह्या उत्तरातच सगळं आलं ना.....!!

I could see the promo after trying it for 2-3 times. I think the zip format creates a problem.
